Well, we've built it. Now its over to you.
The design concepts for our 100 tonne winery commenced in 2004 with local architect Mark Adams preparing the final plans. Built into a hill, 80% of the winery and cellar is actually underground to provide thermal stability.
Construction began early 2005 and local builders Tom Clark and Dennis Harvey had the building completed in August the same year.
The brilliance of Mark's design is most apparent when the building is viewed from the vineyard site on the hill, where it blends unobtrusively with the surrounding structures to present a wonderful mix of soft Italian rendered walls and galvanised iron.
On a more practical level nothing surpasses sitting on the terrace, overlooking the valley and taking in the sunset with a glass in hand.
