When we manage to talk one of our wonderful local chefs into giving up a precious Sunday, we lay the tables, open the wine, put on some great music and let the afternoon unfold.
Brett Melhuish from Restaurant 9inety 2wo had already set an impressive benchmark when the baton was passed to Philippe Legall on Sunday August 26th. For those of you who don't know, Bathurst is blessed with Australia's most sensational patisserie (even if we do say so ourselves) and Philippe is the master behind it.
Our Sunday lunches have all been a sell-out and word continues to spread. So ring us on 02 6337 2011 to book your table for the next. Lunch and wine is $90 per head. Brett will be back in October and who knows who we can coax into the kitchen next.
Don’t forget the National Cool Climate Wine Show to be held in Bathurst in October, with the public tasting on Friday 12th and the Wine Show Dinner on Saturday 13th. Visit http://www.coolwines.com.au
In the meantime, it’s back to the vineyard to finish the pruning before budburst. It’s looking good up there… but spring is fast approaching.
